What You’ll Do
As a Senior Manager, Data Enablement within the Marketing Analytics and Insights (MAI) team, you will lead the India-based Data Enablement group. This group builds and scales the analytics data foundation that powers Marketing, GTM, and Revenue insights. You will ensure data is reliable, governed, and accessible to support executive reporting, self-service analytics, forecasting, and advanced analytics use cases.
You will allow Avalara's enterprise data and analytics strategy, ensuring that we build Marketing and GTM analytics on a scalable and governed data foundation.
Support Avalara's strategy to standardize data models and metrics to ensure definitions, lineage, and data quality across marketing, sales, and revenue platforms
Allow end-to-end visibility across the customer journey, ensuring you integrate marketing data into broader GTM and enterprise reporting frameworks.
Accelerate Avalara's shift toward self-service analytics and operational efficiency.
Strengthen Avalara's data governance and trust posture by implementing analytics.
You will report to Director Marketing Analytics.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
You will Lead the India-based Data Enablement team within MAI, providing technical direction, coaching, and career development
You will manage data enablement for marketing-specific systems including Google Ads, Marketo/Eloqua, and Salesforce Campaigns, ensuring reliable ingestion, modeling, and availability for analytics
You will Establish a partnership with the Global Analytics and Insights team in Pune.
Support analytics needs for Marketing and GTM leadership partners
Lead the analytics data enablement layer supporting Marketing and GTM analytics, including full-funnel, attribution, pipeline, and performance datasets
Design scalable data models in Snowflake to support trusted reporting and analytics
Establish and enforce analytics data standards, documentation, and governance in partnership with MAI, GAI, and Rev Ops
Improve data quality monitoring, validation, reconciliation, and freshness Service level agreements across main source systems
Allow self-service analytics by supporting BI tools (e.g., Power BI) with trusted semantic models and well-documented datasets
Translate analytics and our requirements into scalable data solutions.
Establish delivery schedule through sprint planning, backlog management, and operational metrics
What You'll Need to be Successful
10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles
4+ years of people management experience, including leading teams in India supporting global team members
Demonstrated willingness to work during US business hours , which may require evening schedules in India
Expertise in SQL and modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
Hands-on experience with ELT/ETL and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion.
Expertise in data modeling best practices, including star schema design, semantic layers, and metric consistency
Experience supporting analytics use cases for Marketing, Sales, or Revenue teams Good to have: Experience supporting B2B SaaS GTM analytics.
Familiarity with Google Ads, Marketo or Eloqua, and Salesforce Campaigns
Experience supporting BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
