Azure AI Platform Architect

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Azure AI Platform Architect to support the migration, optimization, and operationalization of advanced AI workloads. This role will play a critical part in transitioning Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) bots, Machine Learning (ML) models, and GenAI services from cloud-based environments to a high-performance on‑premises GPU infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

- Migration of AI Workloads:
- Transition existing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) bots, Machine Learning (ML) models, and related services from our current cloud environment to the newly established on-premises GPU cluster. o Refactor and containerize AI workloads (where applicable) for compatibility and optimized GPU utilization.
- Migrate relevant data pipelines, inference services, and orchestration workflows.
- Performance Optimization & Validation:
- Conduct benchmarking to ensure model performance parity or improvement post-migration. Optimize resource allocation for scalability and cost efficiency. o Implement robust monitoring, observability, and version control frameworks.
- Security & Compliance Alignment:
- Ensure adherence to data protection and internal governance standards throughout migration.
- Coordinate with our IT Security team to validate secure access, encryption, and data handling protocols.
- Knowledge of Transfer & Documentation:
- Deliver comprehensive documentation covering deployment architecture, performance baselines, and operational runbooks.
- Conduct training sessions for internal AI and Dev Ops teams on managing the migrated workloads.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Azure cloud, bare-metal environments, containerization, and AI/ML workload orchestration, along with hands-on experience in refactoring and optimizing AI systems for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- You will work closely with AI, Dev Ops, and Security teams to ensure secure, compliant, and production-ready deployments while establishing robust monitoring, observability, and version control frameworks.
- This position also requires strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities to enable internal teams to effectively manage and scale migrated AI platforms.
