Must Have:
Proven experience leading the data migration workstream on at least three end‑to‑end SAP implementations.
Strong hands‑on expertise with SAP data migration tools (e.g. S/4 Migration Cockpit, Crystal Bridge) and approaches (e.g. fit‑to‑standard data scoping, iterative mock loads, reconciliation, and business‑led data readiness).
8+ years’ experience delivering data migration for enterprise SAP programs, with recent hands‑on experience on SAP S/4

HANA Public Cloud.
Demonstrated ability to define and enforce data migration governance including standards, templates, reconciliation rules, and cutover controls.
Deep understanding of SAP master data and transactional data principles.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously whilst leading and supporting others.

Nice to Have
Certification in any ETL tools or approaches (e.g. Informatica, BODS, ADM, Syniti).
Experience building or scaling a repeatable delivery model or factory for SAP enterprise estates.
Experience integrating data migration activities with test management and ALM tooling (e.g. SAP Cloud ALM).
Experience working in regulated industries (insurance, financial services, aerospace, pharma, etc.).
Understanding of ABAP, ABAP artifacts and ABAP development skills.

Day-To-Day:
SAP Data workstream leadership and planning.
Perform functional consulting activities in advisory & implementation projects with a focus on Data Migration and Data Quality.
Assess technical landscape, source systems, applications & technical artifacts, and recommend Strategy for Data Migration & Data Quality Improvement.
Contribute to the development of the migration rules, documenting these rules, developing user test cases for migration test runs, testing the rules during the migration runs.
Support the business in all questions related to migration; of analyzing and preparing the data, in extracting the data, in transforming the data, in validation of the migration, in verifying data in the target system.
Analyse legacy systems and current data structures to assess migration requirements and identify potential challenges.
Define data quality standards, validation rules, and governance frameworks to ensure data integrity post-migration.
Design and implement data transformation rules, ensuring data integrity and execute data migration strategies, including ETL processes, validation, and reconciliation.
Analyse existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and define data-related process workflows.
Develop functional specifications and ensure they align with technical solutions. Provide clear requirements to technical teams.
Provide end-user training and create detailed documentation for processes, workflows, and best practices.
Analyse complex data sets and design effective transformation rules.

Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the end‑to‑end data migration workstream for SAP S/4

HANA Public Cloud and other implementations, from data readiness through mock loads, cutover, and go‑live.
Define and execute a standardised, SAP‑aligned Public Cloud data migration approach, ensuring fit‑to‑standard, clean core, and appropriate data scope decisions.
Establish and enforce data migration governance, including standards, templates, reconciliation rules, quality criteria, and cutover controls.
Design and build reusable data migration assets and accelerators to support a scalable and repeatable Public Cloud delivery model.
Drive data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities in collaboration with business and functional teams.
Plan and manage migration cycles, mock runs, and dress rehearsals, ensuring readiness for testing and release milestones.
Engage, influence and support client stakeholders to ensure business ownership of data quality and migration decisions.
Stay current with the latest SAP Data tools and best practices and delivery thought-leadership pieces, like blogs, white paper etc.

Purpose
Lead the strategy, design, and execution of data migration for SAP S/4

HANA Public Cloud implementations, owning end‑to‑end data readiness, migration governance, tooling, and cutover execution.
Agree they need a functional lense on this, but their primary responsibility will be to drive the Data Migration aspects of an S/4 programme.

This is critical - being able to document the proposed strategy and then implement it.
