QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in  Selenium ,  BDD Cucumber , and  Java script . The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of  Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)  principles and hands-on experience in  banking payments systems , including  OPF ,  Wires ,  SWIFT and   SEPA . This role involves designing and implementing automated test frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the quality of mission-critical financial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using  Selenium Web Driver  and  BDD Cucumber .
Write clean, scalable test scripts in  JavaScript , applying  OOP  principles.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for payment applications involving Wires, SWIFT or SEPA payment schemes
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
Maintain and execute automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Document test strategies, plans, and results for audit and compliance purposes.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

5 to 7 years  of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
Proficiency in  Selenium ,  BDD Cucumber , and  JavaScript .
Strong understanding of  OOP  concepts and their application in test automation.
Hands-on experience with payment schemes such as Wires, SWIFT or SEPA and payments processing engine such as OPF.
Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Test Rail) and version control systems (e.g., Git Bitbucket).

Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, or similar.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

ISTQB or equivalent certification.
Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.

Experience in the payment domain is essential for this role.
