About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manhattan WMOS Functional Consultant to support implementation, enhancement, and production support of Manhattan WMOS for large-scale distribution and fulfillment operations. The role involves close collaboration with warehouse operations, IT, and integration teams to ensure efficient, scalable, and compliant warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional design and configuration of WMOS modules including Receiving, Putaway, Inventory, Replenishment, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and VAS
- Conduct business process workshops and translate operational requirements into WMOS functional specifications
- Configure wave planning, task management, location control, cartonization, and allocation rules
- Support RF (handheld) workflows and validate end-to-end warehouse execution processes
- Work with technical teams on integrations with ERP, OMS, TMS, WCS, and EDI systems
- Prepare and execute functional test scenarios, SIT/UAT support, and defect triage
- Support production issues, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Create and maintain functional design documents, SOPs, and training materials
- Act as a functional SME during upgrades, patches, and rollouts
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Manhattan WMOS
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Returns)
- Experience with RF/handheld transaction flows
- Knowledge of wave management, order allocation, task interleaving
- Exposure to EDI transactions (850, 856, 810) and warehouse integrations
- Experience working with Oracle DB (functional validation, queries helpful)
- Strong documentation and client communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced distribution environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Manhattan Active WM or WMOS → Active WM migration projects
- Retail, eCommerce, or 3PL domain experience
- Understanding of automation systems (conveyors, sorters, ASRS)
- Prior involvement in warehouse go-lives or major releases
- Familiarity with test automation tools for WMS (Cycle Labs, Tosca, etc.)
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of labor management (LM) and slotting
- Exposure to cloud integration patterns (AWS/Azure)
- Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments
