Architect / Senior Architect (Azure Platform & Data)
Role Summary
The Solution Architect is responsible for defining and governing end-to-end Azure cloud and data platform architectures. This role drives architectural decisions, ensures scalability, security, cost efficiency, and aligns technology solutions with business outcomes across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture design for Azure-based platforms including data, compute, networking, and security.
- Define end-to-end Azure data architectures using Azure Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and related services.
- Design scalable and resilient solutions using:
- Compute:
Azure App Services, Azure Functions
- Storage:
Azure Storage Accounts
- Databases:
Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Postgre
SQL/MySQL
- Establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
- Define cloud security architecture including RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, NSGs.
- Provide architectural oversight for networking designs (VNets, Load Balancers, VPN Gateway, Azure DNS).
- Guide teams on monitoring, cost optimization, and governance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Cost Management, and Azure Advisor.
- Review and approve technical designs, code patterns, and deployment strategies.
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers and ensure architectural consistency across initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of IT experience with strong Azure cloud architecture exposure
- Deep expertise in Azure services, networking, security, and data platforms
- Strong hands-on understanding of IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
- Solid SQL knowledge; working familiarity with Power Shell/Python scripting
- Experience driving architecture reviews and stakeholder discussions
