The Senior Data Specialist will act as a player-coach, leading a team responsible for document collection operations. The role involves managing end-to-end workflows, ensuring timely data collection within SLAs, maintaining data accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency. This position is critical in ensuring seamless document ingestion and supporting downstream data processing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
Lead and supervise a team of data specialists with effective task allocation and performance monitoring
Conduct regular 1:1s, provide mentorship, feedback, and support career development
Ensure team discipline, adherence to policies, and a professional work environment
Manage attendance, leave planning, and team availability
Operations & Delivery
Oversee daily BAU operations and document collection workflows
Ensure all tasks are completed within defined SLAs
Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and resolve operational issues
Provide real-time floor support and ensure workflow continuity
Document Collection & Data Handling
Manage end-to-end document collection pipeline from multiple sources and portals
Ensure accurate and timely upload of documents into internal systems
Monitor data connections and resolve failures proactively
Maintain data quality through regular audits and validations
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with onboarding, product, and engineering teams to improve processes and tools
Coordinate with external data providers and internal teams for issue resolution
Assist in tracking and resolving system issues via ticketing tools
Process Improvement & Training
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
Support onboarding, knowledge transfer, and training initiatives
Maintain and update workflow documentation and SOPs
Required
Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of experience in operations, data management, or financial/fintech domain
Proven experience in team handling and stakeholder management
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Experience with tools like Jira, Salesforce, Google Suite, and Excel (preferred)
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and process adherence skills
