The Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining Oracle databases and related products. The role ensures high availability, performance, and security of enterprise database systems while providing support for database operations, performance tuning, and disaster recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle software and related products.
Apply Oracle patches and updates to maintain database security and currency.
Perform database backups, recovery, and ensure data integrity.
Monitor database performance, conduct performance analysis, tuning, and troubleshooting.
Proactively address performance or availability issues based on alerts.
Automate standard database operations and procedures.
Document database configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
Support weekend on-call rotations and out-of-hours projects as needed.
Implement disaster recovery and high availability strategies using Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard.
Collaborate with IT teams for identity and access management and systems integration.
Qualifications &

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle database installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and administration.

Experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Golden Gate, and Oracle Enterprise Manager preferred.
Proficiency in shell scripting and database automation.
