Purpose of the Role:
The primary purpose is to support the Global Strategic Sourcing team in executing end-to-end sourcing events. The Junior RFx Specialist serves as a documentation and coordination gate, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of RFx (RFI, RFQ, RFP, RFB) packages and facilitating communication.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
RFx Execution & Commercial Basics:
Assist in building and issuing RFx packages, including main documents, compliance sheets, and pricing templates.
Conduct bid evaluation and price comparison for simple RFQs involving standard components.
Perform basic cost estimation and extract supplier inputs (unit pricing, lead times, material details) for comparison.
Support complex projects by identifying and separating Fixed Firm Price (FFP) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) scope items.
Coordination & Documentation Governance:
Maintain rigorous document management and version control for technical drawings, specifications, and multiple standards.
Manage vendor correspondence, ensuring all bidders receive updates and follow up on missing or incomplete submissions.
Strategic Sourcing Support:
Gather and validate project scope, specifications, and appendices before publication.
Collect and process data for Source-to-Contract (S2C) activities and broader procurement project evaluations.
Desired Technical Skills & Knowledge
Systems & Tools: MS Excel, SAP (Ariba)
Special Remarks
Communication: Must possess clear communication and strong articulation skills to maintain technical discussions with vendors and independently manage stakeholders
Global Interaction: Proficiency in English is required; familiarity with various accents.
