Job Description & How to Apply Below
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. You'll design and build the microservices, APIs, and integrations that sit at the heart of our security platform working closely with security analysts, product managers, and fellow engineers to ship reliable, observable, high-quality software. You'll also help shape how our team uses AI coding tools to ship faster without compromising on quality, security, or maintainability.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate production-grade Python microservices using FastAPI (and Django where appropriate), applying clean architecture, domain-driven design, and async patterns to deliver resilient APIs.
Build event-driven workflows , designing for idempotency, retries, dead-letter handling, and back-pressure across services.
Own services end-to-end on AWS (EKS, RDS/Postgre
SQL, messaging, IAM, S3 for example), provisioned with Terraform and deployed via Git Hub Actions and FluxCD (Git Ops).
Collaborate with frontend engineers working in an Angular microfront ends architecture designing API contracts that are clean, versioned, and a pleasure to consume.
Write and maintain test suites unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end with Playwright and treat tests, observability, and CI signal as first-class deliverables, not afterthoughts.
Instrument services for observability (structured logs, metrics, traces) so we can detect, diagnose, and resolve issues quickly in production.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, threat modelling raising the bar for the whole team.
Work within an Agile delivery model contributing to refinement, estimation, retrospectives, and pragmatic technical decisions.
