Role Description The Customer Support Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City. This role involves providing technical and customer support for machinery solutions, including responding to customer inquiries, diagnosing issues, and recommending effective resolutions. The Customer Support Engineer will handle troubleshooting, guide customers through operational procedures, and escalate complex problems to senior technical teams when needed. Typical responsibilities include conducting on-site visits, performing installation checks, coordinating field service activities, and maintaining detailed service records.

The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to improve product performance, documenting recurring issues, and contributing feedback to enhance customer experience and service processes.

Qualifications

- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Support and Communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and professionally.
- Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting and Technical Support for SMT machinery or related equipment, including diagnosing and resolving hardware or system issues.
- Field Service experience, including on-site visits, basic installation checks, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Relevant technical education, such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation; basic familiarity with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple service requests under time constraints.
- Comfort working in industrial or manufacturing environments and willingness to travel locally or regionally for customer site visits as required.
- Prior experience with SMT machinery, automation, or industrial equipment service is an advantage; proficiency with standard office and reporting tools is preferred.
