1. Job Purpose
To lead and supervise a team on the shop floor to achieve production targets with required quality, safety, and efficiency standards while ensuring adherence to processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
Plan and execute daily production activities to meet schedule and output targets
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
Monitor line performance and take corrective actions for deviations
Optimize manpower deployment and machine utilization
Quality Management
Ensure product quality at all stages of production
Identify defects and initiate root cause analysis and corrective actions
Enforce quality standards and compliance with inspection protocols
Safety & Compliance
Maintain a safe working environment and enforce EHS practices
Ensure use of PPE and adherence to safety guidelines
Conduct safety briefings and handle incident reporting
Team Management
Allocate tasks and supervise team members on daily activities
Train, coach, and develop team capability
Encourage teamwork, discipline, and productivity
Manage attendance, shift planning, and shop floor discipline
Continuous Improvement
Drive Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives
Identify productivity improvement opportunities
Reduce waste, downtime, and operational losses
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams
Track KPIs (Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery)
Prepare daily/weekly reports and escalate issues timely
3. Key Skills Required
Leadership & team handling
Problem-solving and decision-making
Strong communication and coordination
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality tools
Lean / Six Sigma basics (preferred)
4. Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing / assembly operations
Prior experience in leading a team on shop floor preferred
5. Key KPIs
Production adherence (plan vs actual)
First-pass yield / rejection rate
Safety incidents
OEE / productivity
Attendance & manpower efficiency
