Retail Sales Executive

Role Overview

Hello December is looking for a Retail Sales Executive for our retail presence at Broadway, Pune.

We are looking for someone warm, well-spoken, proactive, and target-oriented — someone who can sell beautifully, understand customers quickly, and represent the brand with polish.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interiors, home décor, gifting, styling, and premium lifestyle products.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Sales & Conversion

* Attend to walk-in customers at the Broadway store.

* Understand customer needs, taste, budget, space, and occasion.

* Recommend products across home décor, mirrors, cushions, tableware, lighting, gifting, and styling-led pieces.

* Convert store walk-ins into sales.

* Upsell and cross-sell relevant products.

* Follow up with customers for pending purchases, custom orders, gifting enquiries, and repeat sales.

Store Display & Brand Presentation

* Maintain Hello December’s display at Broadway.

* Ensure the counter/shelves/products are clean, styled, priced, tagged, and beautifully presented.

* Refill and rearrange products as required.

* Make sure the brand always looks premium, warm, and inviting.

Product Knowledge

* Learn product details including pricing, materials, sizes, care instructions, offers, and delivery timelines.

* Explain products confidently to customers.

* Stay updated on new launches, bestsellers, slow-moving products, and current promotions.

Order & Billing Coordination

* Manage billing, payment collection, order confirmation, and customer details.

* Coordinate with the internal Hello December team for stock, dispatch, customisation, delivery, and customer queries.

* Maintain sales trackers and order records accurately.

Inventory & Stock Management

* Track daily stock movement at Broadway.

* Inform the team when stock needs replenishment.

* Report damaged, missing, slow-moving, or fast-moving products.

* Support stock counts and inventory checks.

Customer Relationship

* Build warm relationships with customers, repeat buyers, interior designers, architects, gifting clients, and HNI customers.

* Handle customer concerns, delays, exchanges, and queries professionally.

* Collect customer feedback and share insights with the team.

Reporting

* Share daily sales updates.

* Maintain lead, enquiry, and conversion trackers.

* Report daily walk-ins, sales value, bestselling products, customer feedback, and pending follow-ups.

* Work towards monthly sales targets.

Skills Required

* Strong spoken communication.

* Ability to sell without being pushy.

* Strong follow-up discipline.

* Basic knowledge of Google Sheets, Whats App, billing, and payment systems.

* Attention to detail in pricing, product handling, and order tracking.

* Comfortable working in a retail environment.

Experience

1–3 years in retail sales, home décor, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, jewellery, gifting, furniture, hospitality, or premium customer-facing sales.

Freshers with strong communication skills and a good retail personality may also apply.
