Student Management Officer Key Responsibilities
1. Student Misconduct Investigation

  • Conduct interviews with students, victims and witnesses.
  • Gather and review statements, CCTV footage and relevant evidence.
  • Prepare objective investigation reports in accordance with school and MOE guidelines.
  • Liaise with external agencies when cases require escalation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of student and case information.
2. Rehabilitation & Student Support
  • Conduct regular one-to-one check-ins with students under rehabilitation.
  • Monitor student progress and provide appropriate guidance and support.
  • Engage parents/guardians in the rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
3. Preventive Student Management
  • Conduct school walkabouts and patrols to deter and detect misconduct.
  • Monitor areas for vaping, smoking and other violations of school rules.
  • Support preventive measures to reduce recurring student misconduct.
4. Administration & Coordination
  • Maintain proper records of disciplinary cases, rehabilitation plans and student interactions.
  • Prepare student progress and case reports.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, community partners and family service centres where required.
  • Attend relevant training, workshops and professional development programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 1. Diploma from local polytechnic or equivalent, preferably in a related field
  • 2. 2 years of relevant experience in work involving youth in a professional capacity, whether in a school, social service, law enforcement, community or related setting
  • 3. 2 years of experience in conducting investigations or case management
Skills Required
  • 1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents and staff
  • 2. Ability to resolve disputes and reduce tensions among students
  • 3. Ability to manage emergencies, student incidents, and safety concerns appropriately and professionally
  • 4. Good report writing and documentation skills, including the preparation of accurate reports, statements and case documentation
  • 5. Ability to build trust and maintain positive stakeholder relationships, while working independently and
