Monday to Thursday: 8.00am to 5.30pm (including 1 hour lunch break)
Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm (including 1 hour lunch break)
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma from local polytechnic or equivalent, preferably in a related field

2 years of relevant experience in work involving youth in a professional capacity, whether in a school, social service, law enforcement, community or related setting

2 years of experience in conducting investigations or case management

Skills Required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents and staff
Ability to resolve disputes and reduce tensions among students
Ability to manage emergencies, student incidents, and safety concerns appropriately and professionally
Good report writing and documentation skills, including the preparation of accurate reports, statements and case documentation
Ability to build trust and maintain positive stakeholder relationships, while working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Job Scopes

The Services required are set out as follows:
The Student Management Officer will work closely with the school's student management team, form teachers, and school counsellors to support the investigation of student misconduct cases and provide structured rehabilitation programmes for students who require additional guidance and support. This role plays a critical part in fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Investigation of Student Misconduct
- The officer will assist the school's discipline team in conducting fair, thorough, and sensitive investigations into student misconduct cases. Specific duties include:

Gathering information through structured interviews with students involved in disciplinary cases, including the accused, victims, and witnesses.
Documenting investigation findings accurately and objectively in accordance with school and MOE guidelines.
Preparing clear and concise investigation reports for the consideration of the discipline committee.
Assisting in the review of CCTV footage, written statements, and other relevant evidence where necessary.
Ensuring that all investigation processes are conducted in a fair, unbiased, and trauma-informed manner.
Liaising with external agencies such as the Singapore Police Force, Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), or Child Protective Services where cases require escalation.
The officer must maintain strict confidentiality of all case-related information and student records.

Rehabilitation & Student Support
- Beyond investigation, the officer will play an active role in supporting students through structured rehabilitation programmes.

Duties include:

Conducting regular one-on-one check-in sessions with students under rehabilitation to monitor progress and provide guidance.
Engaging parents and guardians as active partners in the rehabilitation process through regular updates and joint meetings.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all rehabilitation activities and student progress.

Preventive Work:
The officer will also contribute to preventive efforts aimed at reducing the recurrence of misconduct. Duties will include conducting regular walkabouts within the school premises and in the surrounding areas in the neighbouring district. The officer will focus on deterring and detecting activities such as vaping and smoking, as well as preventing violations of school rules.

Administrative & Coordination Duties
- Maintaining proper documentation of all cases, rehabilitation plans, and student interactions in accordance with school data management policies

Preparing progress reports for the School.
Coordinating with external agencies, community partners, and family service centres where necessary.
Attending relevant training, workshops, and professional development sessions as required by the school.
