The supervisor coordinates technician assignments and staffing during the scheduled shift, supports patient safety and observation practices, coaches staff, and helps ensure timely and accurate documentation. The role works closely with the Charge Nurse and reports to the Director of Operations for Crisis Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct technician assignments based on patient needs, census, and required observation coverage.
Respond to callouts and staffing gaps, coordinating coverage with the other shift supervisors and Director.
Supervise, coach, and support technicians; address performance and conduct concerns in partnership with leadership and HR.Support new hire orientation, unit shadowing, competency checks, and refresher training.
Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, including patient rights, observation, admissions and discharges, belongings, documentation, and crisis response.
Partner with Charge Nurse to ensure incidents, grievances, and other documentation receive timely attention and appropriate documentation.
Provide direct technician coverage.

Must meet eligibility requirements

Tuition reimbursement, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible, and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) loan repayment eligible for qualifying staff.
High School diploma or equivalent requires; an associate degree or higher in behavioral health, human services, health care administration, or a related field preferred.
At least two (2) years of behavioral health technician or equivalent experience in an acute behavioral health or crisis stabilization setting.
At least one (1) year of demonstrated leadership experience.
Strong communication, sound judgement, and the ability to lead staff calmly and respectfully.
Ability to meet applicable background, training, drug screening, and certification requirements. The selected candidate will complete Handle with Care and Ukeru Trainer certifications within one (1) year of hire and facilitate trainings as scheduled.
