Salary: $19.00 - $19.00 per hour
SummaryThe Store Manager oversees store sales efforts and supervises operations to ensure efficiency and profitability. The manager enforces company policies, communicates with District Sales Manager, represents brand, and promotes merchandise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Drive store sales and meet sales goals, focusing on company growth.
- Manage assets and control store finances.
- Direct and oversee sales efforts; train and mentor associates.
- Maintain familiarity with sales statistics, inventory, expenses and profit.
- Collaborate with District Sales Manager to establish and enforce policies and procedures.
- Ensure staff meet responsibilities and standards in each department.
- Mentor and cultivate a team of Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training.
- Recruit, hire, train, discipline, evaluate staff and manage payroll and schedule to meet labor goals.
- Maintain store security; partner with Asset Protection to prevent theft and reduce shrink.
- Communicate inventory movement; drive inventory goals and strategies.
- Execute marketing and advertising plans and stay aware of customer trends.
- Monitor competition, new ideas and community events to seize opportunities.
- Deliver extraordinary customer service per the manual, helping customers in peak periods.
- Protect company assets and financial info by ensuring internal controls and reporting fraud risk.
- Manage subordinate supervisors and non-management employees, coordinating direction and evaluation.
- Handle interviewing, hiring, training, work assignment, performance appraisal, reward, discipline, complaints and problem resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in retail, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
- Experience managing and cultivating a sales team.
- 3-5 years of customer service experience; 3+ years of management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environments.
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated business acumen.
- Problem‑solving and multitasking abilities.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
