General Service Technician / State Inspector & Emissions – Purcellville

General Service Technician is responsible for conducting non‑technical automotive service repairs such as oil changes, tire and wheel related services, driving customers, picking up parts and maintaining shop cleanliness.

• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Conduct oil changes and other basic services per Shop Manager or Store Manager direction.
• Observe vehicle condition, point out needed repairs or safety concerns, and document via the company’s Multi‑point Inspection and/or Repair Order.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, tire racks, showroom, and exterior areas.
• Safely transport customers and parts using the company vehicle.
• Operate company vehicle safely, obeying all traffic laws.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections per company and state guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A valid, clean driver’s license (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
• General understanding of under‑hood, mechanical, and under‑carriage assemblies.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including weekends.

Exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. Temperature may vary, including extreme heat and cold.

Must be able to stand up to eight hours per day, walk to access various areas, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly, lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently, hear and speak, and have vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus.

Compensation: $15‑$18 + commissions.
