The role of a Boarding Assistant involves providing comprehensive student life support and supervision during non-academic hours, ensuring the safety and well-being of students within the Residence Hall. Responsibilities include overseeing daily schedules, enforcing hall policies, organizing extracurricular events, assisting with student needs, and coordinating medical care when necessary. The Boarding Assistant also manages communication with parents, reviews student forms, and provides guidance for personal and academic development.
Additionally, the role includes planning and teaching independent living skills (ILS) classes, supporting extracurricular activities, and participating in school committees. The position may also involve event chaperoning, handling emergencies, and maintaining effective communication with various school stakeholders, including staff and parents.
Requirements- Strong communication skills in English (Japanese proficiency is a plus)
- Experience working with students or in a similar setting
- Ability to multitask and handle emergencies
- Teamwork and organizational skills
