Description:
Bio
2070 introduces basic human anatomy and physiology for nursing careers. Emphasis on clinical summaries, disease and injury treatment, integrated with biology, chemistry, and microbiology. The course is not a major/minor requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Teach 2 lectures per week (1 hour 20 minutes each) and 1 laboratory per week (2 hours 40 minutes). Schedule determined by hire and chair.
- Use Brightspace as the digital learning platform for course materials and grading.
- Hold 3 office hours per week.

Qualifications:
Education: M.S., Ph.D., post‑doctorates, or experienced academicians with a strong background in a related discipline (e.g., histology or anatomy/physiology).
Experience: Experience with Anatomage and BIOPAC preferred.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing and walking around a laboratory; may need to lift up to 15 pounds.
Salary: Annual salary per adjunct union contract.
Hours: 2 lectures per week (1 hour 20 minutes each) and 1 lab per week (2 hours 40 minutes), plus 3 office hours per week. Schedule determined by hire and chair.
Benefits: Adjunct instructors may contribute to a 403(b) retirement plan.
