Clinical Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity

Manhattanville University invites applications for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity in the School of Arts and Sciences. This position carries a teaching load of 30 credits per academic year and includes instruction in both Cybersecurity and Computer Science courses.

Location: Purchase, NY (Full-time)

Salary: $72,000 – $73,000 per year (base pay range).

• Teach undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity and Computer Science, including foundational and advanced topics.
• Develop and update curriculum to reflect current industry standards and emerging technologies.
• Advise and mentor students in academic and career planning.
• Participate in departmental, school, and university service, including committee work and program development.
• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to support the growth of technology-related programs.
• Engage in professional development to stay current in the field.

Education: Master’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

Experience:

• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level.
• Experience with hands‑on labs, simulations, and experiential learning.
• Familiarity with current cybersecurity tools, frameworks, and threat analysis.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including low socioeconomic and first‑generation students.
• Ability to teach a range of courses including programming, network security, ethical hacking, and digital forensics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Hours expectation:
Full‑time, 35 hours per week.
