• Adjunct faculty responsibilities include the preparation for, and the teaching of, one or more assigned courses.
• Preparation includes:
  • Construction of an appropriate and up-to-date syllabus to be posted in the course shell(s) on the LIU learning platform at least three days prior to the start of class.
  • Welcome letter posted in the course shell(s) at least three days prior to the start of class.
  • Submission of the syllabus to LIU Hudson at least one week prior to the start of class.
  • Attendance at Faculty Receptions/Meetings at the start of the fall and spring semesters.
  • Timely submission of grades no more than 48 hours following the last class of the semester.
• Successful teaching includes:
  • Sharing course content/information.
  • Engaging students in critical thinking about course content and their field of study.
  • Encouraging a breadth and depth of thinking.
• Successful teaching at the graduate level also demands a high degree of professionalism and the ability to support students as their courses present them with intellectual and methodological challenges.

• An earned doctorate in a pharmaceutical or related field
• Advanced ABDs master’s degree holders with pertinent experience considered
