Manager, Finance Business Analysis – Sompo

Sompo is hiring a senior business analyst to lead finance‑driven initiatives across our finance portfolio. The role spans several locations:
Purchase, NY;
New York City, NY;
Morristown, NJ;
Conshohocken, PA; and Charlotte, NC.

• Direct the evolution of IT’s business requirements across the Finance portfolio, ensuring solutions support strategic and tactical objectives.
• Lead requirements definition for Finance solutions and translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, business use cases, process flows, data flows, and traceability matrices.
• Implement system automation to enhance process efficiency, improve data quality, and reduce manual errors.
• Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing with stakeholders and project managers.
• Lead a small team of business analysts, managing resource prioritization, performance, and professional development.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and business partners to direct IT investments that support the overall Finance strategy.
• Maintain regular communication with Finance department managers and business process managers regarding pertinent IT activities.
• Oversee enforcement of business analysis processes, departmental standards, and style requirements.
• Recommend, design, and monitor IT process improvement activities aimed at reducing costs, improving quality, and speeding time to market.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  Master’s or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience in financial systems implementation and finance operations.
• 5+ years in the Insurance industry with a focus on Finance.
• 2+ years’ experience managing business analysis teams.
• Experience in technology implementation and support.
• 3+ years’ experience with SAP FS‑CD and FS‑GL on HANA.
• Demonstrated business savvy, strong project management skills, and the ability to handle demanding workloads.
• Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.

$130,000 – $160,000 (actual compensation will depend on location, experience, and qualifications).
