Government Affairs Manager (North East) – Pepsi Co

OverviewThe Public Policy and Government Affairs (PPGA) team supports Pepsi Co in navigating the complex policy and regulatory landscape. As Manager of Government Affairs, you will work with the Director to manage key legislative and regulatory issues, focusing on state and local government, stakeholder outreach and advocacy with policy makers.
Responsibilities- Pro‑actively scan the environment for key policy matters, tracking emerging risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and research current and emerging public policy issues affecting Pepsi Co.
- Ensure sector and corporate partners are advised of legislative risks andoccus align corporate plans.
- Provide external insight on policy matters to inform Pepsi Co’s operational strategy.
- Offer strategic advisory on confidential matters, including due diligence, partnership and M&A insights.
- Represent Pepsi Co on industry associations, trade bodies and government committees.
- Build coalitions across community partners, industries and trade blocs to advance public policy. bate >
- Support annual and strategic plans, budgets, and crisis mitigation efforts.
- Communicate the vision and strategy of the Corporate Affairs function to internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Economics or related field (MA or JD preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in legislative or government affairs with a state/local focus.
- Experience in fast‑moving consumer goods is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated senior stakeholder management and ability to advise the board and leadership.
- Strategic thinker able to set direction and shape the environment.
- Strong communication skills; able to engage executives, government and general audiences.
- Expected compensation range: $106,400 – $178,100.
- Bonus based on performance; target payout 12% of annual salary.
