At A Glance:
Kitchen Steward is needed to work in our multiple dish rooms. We are looking for candidates with restaurant, hotel private club or institutional kitchen experience of at least two years. This job focuses on cleaning dinnerware, kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and all areas relating to sanitation. The right candidate will be positive, attentive, focused, and enjoy working in a team atmosphere.

The ability to work, organized and structured is vital.

This is a part time position with hours from 3:30pm to 9:30 pm when scheduled Monday to Saturday. Sunday hours are 8am to 4pm. No late nights and we offer schedule flexibility to enhance your quality of life!

Starting Salary: $17.00 to $18.50 This is a part-time position that will average 25 hours per week.

GENERAL

SUMMARY:

A unique opportunity exists to join a team in creating a vibrant senior learning community on the campus of Purchase College, State University of New York. The residents of this university-based retirement community will be able to enjoy the many amenities of the college including the renowned Neuberger Museum of Art, the Performing Arts Center, the academic and athletic facilities, and the park-like campus.

The kitchen steward performs several kitchen-related activities including (but not limited to) Pot and Dish washing, general cleaning duties as well as storing both food and non-food supplies.

This is a full-time position with shifts to be determined; and requires evening, weekend and / or holiday availability.
