Verigent's client is seeking a highly skilled Senior AV Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Purchase, NY. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in break/fix, preventative maintenance, and installation of enterprise-level AV systems. This role requires advanced knowledge of DSPs, video/audio signal management, and experience with platforms such as Crestron, Dante, and Cisco codecs.
Responsibilities- Provide break/fix support and preventative maintenance for AV systems across corporate environments.
- Perform installation, configuration, and testing of AV solutions including displays, DSPs, codecs, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex AV issues involving DSP programming, Crestron control, Dante audio networking, and Cisco video conferencing.
- Support and maintain signal routing systems; familiarity with Evertz Magnum for routing control is a plus.
- Work with fiber cabling for AV and video transport; terminate, test, and maintain fiber connections.
- Partner with internal IT/Network teams to ensure AV solutions integrate seamlessly with enterprise infrastructure.
- Maintain system documentation and provide reporting on system health, issues, and upgrades.
- Assist with vendor management, equipment procurement, and system lifecycle planning.
- Mentor junior technicians and provide subject matter expertise on AV best practices.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AV maintenance, break/fix, and installation.
- Strong knowledge of DSPs (Biamp, QSC, etc.).
- Experience with Crestron programming, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in Dante audio networking.
- Proficiency with Cisco video codecs (Webex endpoints preferred).
- Familiarity with Evertz Magnum or similar broadcast/enterprise routing systems.
- Experience with fiber optic cabling and signal transport.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
