Overview
As the Global Functions AI Solutions Lead you will spearhead the development and implementation of AI‑driven solutions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency within Pepsi Co’s finance, legal, and R&D innovation functions. The role involves leveraging AI to optimize financial operations, ensure legal compliance, support innovative R&D efforts, and deliver strategic insights that bolster Pepsi Co's global functions.
Responsibilities- AI Strategy Development (30%) – Formulate AI strategies to optimize financial operations, enhance legal compliance, and drive R&D innovation. Develop frameworks for integrating AI solutions across global functions to achieve strategic business objectives.
- Process Reinvention and Implementation (40%) – Lead implementation of AI solutions to enhance efficiency in financial forecasting, automate legal compliance workflows, and support innovative R&D processes. Develop and deploy AI models for predictive analytics, financial optimizations, legal risk assessments, and R&D progression.
- Stakeholder Collaboration (20%) – Collaborate with finance, legal, and R&D teams to understand and translate their needs into actionable AI solutions. Work with cross‑functional teams, including data scientists, AI engineers, and functional leaders, to ensure AI solutions are effectively integrated and add value.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization (10%) – Establish metrics to evaluate the performance of AI solutions across finance, legal, and R&D functions. Continuously optimize AI models based on performance data, evolving business needs, and industry advancements.
Decision‑Making Autonomy: Moderate – Substantial autonomy in executing projects and managing AI strategies, aligning with business objectives.
Supervision
Required:
Moderate – Operates under general supervision with regular updates to the VP for strategic alignment.
Complexity of Role: High – Manages multiple AI initiatives, oversees cross‑functional teams, and collaborates extensively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Cross‑Functional Interactions: Yes – Engages with Finance, Legal, R&D, Data Science, Engineering, Business Units, Vendors, and Consulting firms.
Compensation and Benefits- Expected compensation range: $125,900 – $249,900.
- Location, job‑related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
- Bonus based on performance: 15% of annual salary paid out annually, with an additional target payout of 0% over 3 years following the end of the performance period.
- Long‑term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.

- Education:
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Law, or related field. Master’s preferred. - Experience:
8+ years in AI, data science, finance, legal, or R&D functions. - Required Expertise
:- AI technologies (e.g., Generative AI tools, IoT platforms).
- Managing cross‑functional teams and AI projects.
- External technology vendors and consulting firms.
- Translating business challenges into AI solutions.
- Defining KPIs and measuring AI solutions’ success.
- Strategic Implementation:
Aligning AI strategies with CFO, General Counsel, and Head of R&D objectives and market needs. - Innovative Thinking:
Driving innovation through the adoption of cutting‑edge AI technologies. - Cross‑Functional Leadership:
Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse organizational levels and departments. - Change Management:
Leading AI‑driven transformation initiatives across global functions. - Communication
Skills:
Effectively articulating AI concepts and strategic benefits. - Results‑Oriented:
Delivering measurable business outcomes through AI implementations.
