Overview

The User Experience Design Sr. Manager is a skilled designer, facilitator, and storyteller capable of working across various mediums (digital prototyping tools, presentation design, immersive experience activations, and video) to create impactful deliverables and lead engagement sessions. These efforts help business program owners define the end-user experience aligned with S&T core priorities. The role involves developing a well-researched understanding of these priorities and leveraging that knowledge to craft engaging, user-friendly experiences across S&T applications.

The Sr. Manager will conceptualize, co-create, design, and present engaging experiences, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams (product, business, strategy, data & analytics) to deliver value. A passion for design as a problem-solving tool and seasoned presentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Product Owner in defining high-level concepts and the customer value proposition
  • Inspire innovative design approaches and lead client-facing meetings and workshops, explaining design rationales
  • Create, define, and demonstrate user interactions and flows for services or product tasks
  • Design frameworks to organize information and help users understand product or service functionality over time
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to address user needs, balancing them with business, brand, and technical goals
  • Visualize solutions through models, wireframes, documentation, or prototypes, focusing on user interactions and flows
  • Partner closely with front-end developers
  • Support the design conceptualization of customer-centered products, considering the entire ecosystem and infusing user values
  • Provide guidance to ensure products are useful, usable, effective, desirable, and differentiated
  • Balance creative and business goals, manage client expectations, and ensure delivery aligns with expectations
  • Maintain and evolve digital principles and style guides to ensure visual standards across channels

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Expected salary range: $118,700 - $198,800
  • Salary will consider location, skills, experience, and education; specific figures shared during hiring
  • Performance-based bonus: 15% of annual salary

Qualifications
  • 10+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 6+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS required; MS/MFA preferred
  • Extensive experience in user experience, design strategy, interaction design, or visual/content design; willingness to expand skills
  • Ability to handle complex design challenges and develop strategic, scalable solutions
  • Expertise in digital design tools:
    Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, After Effects
  • Proficiency in front-end web development (HTML/JS/CSS) and rapid prototyping
  • Skilled in creating experience maps, user journeys, service blueprints, interaction models, wireframes, and UI/visual design
  • Proven facilitation skills, client engagement, presentation excellence, and executive presence
  • Strong communication skills (public speaking, storytelling, presentations)
  • Experience with design systems and extensible assets
  • Track record of delivering results on time and within budget
  • Creative, energetic self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Desire to mentor and teach others
  • CPG industry experience is a plus but not required
