Brand Communications Sr Manager - Flavored Sparkling Beverages

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Brand Communications to join the Pepsi Co Beverages U.S. Communications team and support strategic PR and communications initiatives for Mountain Dew and the Pepsi Co U.S. Beverages Flavors portfolio. The ideal candidate has a curiosity to understand the dynamic cultural landscapes and behaviors across the country, is passionate about sports and entertainment, and is skilled at connecting brands with influential audiences through earned media.

Reporting to the Brand Communications Director, this role will help develop and execute integrated communications plans, manage agency partners, and collaborate closely with marketing and cross‑functional teams to amplify brand relevance and engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    Support team in developing strategic communications plans aligned with brand objectives and marketing priorities.
  • Media Relations & Storytelling:
    Cultivate relationships with media and influencers across sports, entertainment, F&B and lifestyle; develop compelling narratives and media materials to drive earned coverage.
  • Agency Management:
    Oversee day‑to‑day agency activities, ensuring cost‑effective programming and consistently flawless execution.
  • Talent & Partnership:
    Provide strategic counsel on high‑level partnerships and programs that include key talent, influencer deals, sports and media partnerships.
  • Insights & Measurement:
    Use analytics and consumer insights to optimize campaign performance and inform future strategies; partner with Measurement & Reporting COE to implement new measurement models.
  • Issues & Crisis:
    Stay informed of key issues and trends; assist in developing and executing brand‑specific crisis management plans when necessary.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Partner with marketing, corporate communications, and internal teams (legal, CX) to ensure alignment, protect brand reputation and avoid unnecessary risks.
  • Internal Communications:
    Champion brand communications campaigns internally and partner with employee communications teams to develop internal amplifications that drive employee awareness and engagement.
Compensation and Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800. Bonus is 15% of annual salary paid annually. Paid time off, including parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement, is provided. Additional benefits include:

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of PR experience managing brand communications in a fast‑moving consumer goods category; agency experience is a plus.
  • A self‑starter with a desire to learn.
  • Strong media relations skills, including strategic planning and the ability to story‑mine and pitch top‑tier reporters.
  • Strong expertise in navigating influencer/talent/partnership programming and protocols.
  • Strong understanding of social media, including new and emerging channels and analytics.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills – including presentations and media materials – and the ability to develop materials under tight timelines.
  • Proven track record of driving successful, insight‑based, high‑impact creative communications programs that deliver against brand business objectives on time and within budget.
  • Proven ability to interact with, manage, and influence cross‑functional teams and agency partners; work in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong agency and/or client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and project management skills.
  • BA in English, Communications, PR or related field preferred.
  • Some travel required.
