Position SummaryThe Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for overall supervision of nursing care at High Point Center for Care. The supervisor provides direct resident care activities and managerial support, promoting high quality of life for residents.
Essential Job Functions- Ensure LPN and Quality of Life Specialists provide quality resident care.
- Daily supervision, leadership, and decision‑making for assigned staff.
- Assist with charting, documentation, vital signs, and treatment orders.
- Coordinate physician orders, medication management, and family communication.
- Participate in admission, discharge planning, and emergency response.
- Recruit, hire, orient, and retain nursing staff.
- Develop and monitor resident care plans, reporting to the Director of Health Services.
- Maintain compliance with nursing regulatory requirements and resident record accuracy.
- Support interdisciplinary team communication and safety regulation enforcement.
- Accredited nursing school graduate with a current New York State RN license.
- CPR certification.
- Experience with Alzheimer’s and Dementia residents preferred.
- Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience.
$54.00 – $58.00 per hour.
Knowledge / Skills- English language proficiency.
- Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and principles, incorporating them into resident care practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Teamwork ability and positive attitude.
- Doctor’s statement verifying free from communicable disease.
- Personal computer, general office equipment, and medical assessment devices.

- Physical requirements include lifting up to 100 lbs. occasionally and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Climbs, reaches, bends, twists occasionally; talks and listens occasionally.
- Sits 2 hours per day; stands and walks 6 hours per day.
- Medium work up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally.
- Visual acuity, color, depth perception and field of vision intact for resident care assessment.
