DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES – Purchase College, NY
Compensation: $80,000 – $82,000 per year
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
We are Chartwells Higher Education, a leading provider of student dining services. As Director of Dining Services at Purchase College, you will advise and support the day‑to‑day operations and financial success of campus food service locations. You will ensure compliance with contract guidelines, health department regulations, and company standards while maintaining high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold excellence in service and food quality.
- Maintain client and customer satisfaction by ensuring food quality and customer service standards are met consistently.
- Prepare and complete all vital daily, weekly, and financial reports, including food and labor cost data.
- Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety standards to guarantee the health and safety of customers.
- Foster strong client relationships to align programs with objectives and drive retention.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient dining service operations.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Five or more years of operational food‑service management experience.
- Knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
- Strong leadership abilities with validated experience in supervising and developing staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Outstanding customer service skills with dedication to high standards of quality.
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Computer proficiency.
