Putnam Middle School is seeking an innovative and motivated special education teacher who can work to continue shaping student-centered programs designed to meet student needs across grades 5-8. Strong candidates will creatively and collaboratively work with teachers and support staff in the middle school to help design creative learning experiences that support student growth and achievement. This candidate will enhance students independent living and transition skills within the school community, fostering independence and generalization of skills.

• Administering assessments
• De‑escalation techniques
• Collaborating with general education teachers and related service providers

• CT Certification 165 – Comprehensive Special Education, K‑12
• CT Certification 065 – Comprehensive Special Education, PK‑12
• CT Certification 265 – Comprehensive Special Education, 1‑12
• Or eligibility for required certification
