Role OverviewAt the heart of our machining excellence lies your role as a CNC Machining Specialist, setting up and operating high‑precision CNC machines. You'll also engage in the creation and adaptation of CNC programming to ensure our operations run optimally.
Key Responsibilities- CNC Machining Mastery:
- Conduct detailed set‑up and execute quality machining operations, using detailed traveler guides and related documentation.
- Generate, modify, and use CNC program files, ensuring products align with quality standards. Each piece is inspected thoroughly before it moves on.
- Adhere to time frames and planned schedules, maintain machine cleanliness, and return tooling after the project.
- Communicate with supervisors to address any challenges that arise dynamically.
- Flexibly switch to non‑CNC tasks to ensure operations run seamlessly at all times.
- Actively look for ways to refine set‑ups and promote lean processes, communicating these to the appropriate team leads.
- Proficiently utilize the E2 management system for accurate job information entry.
- Strategize to meet and surpass cost expectations for all assignments.
- Adopt varied responsibilities as business dynamics require.
- Continuous improvement in job completion time.
- Ensure customer timelines are consistently met.
- Product quality is non‑negotiable; it must meet all specified standards.
- Safety protocols are to be followed without exception.
- Comprehensive understanding of blueprints and technical specs tailored to machineries.
- Commitment to continuous process enhancements.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking talents.
- Capable of working autonomously, prioritizing tasks independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- In‑depth knowledge of CNC program formats and editing.
- Operational competence with various inspection tools and gauges.
- Basic expertise in computer operations.
- A minimum of 5 years in CNC machining roles.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
Successful candidates must meet these physical challenges. Routine job tasks require occasional activities like standing, sitting, and lifting (up to 50 pounds). Visual accuracy in multiple aspects is necessary. Adaptations are possible under the ADA for those with disabilities.
Working ConditionsWork spaces are generally moderate in noise with occasional use of PPE. Employees should be ready to adapt as role specifications evolve.
