Job Description
This is a generalized description of locum CRNA job requirements. Specific assignment details may vary based on the facility, patient population and scope of the role.
Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative management and postoperative pain management.
- Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed.
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education.
- Clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering anesthesia techniques.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration with surgical teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.
- Strong work ethic, stamina and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program.
- Active Connecticut APRN license (or equivalent) without encumbrance.
- National certification as a CRNA by NBCRNA.
- Typically at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting is preferred for locum CRNA roles.
- Locum tenens assignments are temporary, often lasting weeks to months, to fill staffing gaps.
