We are currently seeking a staff accountant who is comfortable working in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable with staff interaction and will be looking for growth in the firm. The Staff Accountant role is responsible for learning and applying their technical skills and working as part of a team to carry out client tasks.
- Ability to apply self to learning and applying technical skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Positive Attitude, team player, desire for growth, adaptable and exemplary client service
- Develop an understanding of the business and the Staff Accountant role.
- Develop technical skills both on the job and through formal learning channels.
- Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
- Builds working relationships at peer client level.
- Seeks to gain knowledge of client businesses.
- Effectively documents work.
- As a member of the team implements solutions for clients.
- Identifies task issues as well as task progress in a timely and organized manner.
- Demonstrates an active interest in the business world by keeping abreast of market trends and business developments.
- Builds strong team relationship skills.
- Bachelors or Masters in Accounting or Tax
- 2+ years of tax experience
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Quick Books (Desktop and QBO).
- Ability to embrace technology and willingness to learn new software applications.
- Annual accounting services (1099, W-2 preparation, etc.)
- Experience with Engagement, CCH Axcess is strongly desired.
