Main Shop Technician

Overview

Join our tenured service team as a Main Shop Technician with hourly or flat rate pay potential! Toyota of Puyallup has been selling and servicing Toyota’s for more than 50 years and has provided multi-decade careers for dozens of our employees. Pay: $22.50 - $42.00 per hour, depending on Toyota Certification status.

• Ability to perform skilled repair work on automotive equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and operating problems in automotive equipment
• Maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above company standards
• Estimate cost of repairs
• Document services performed
• Follow “Fix It Right the First Time” standards, ensuring quality repairs and cleanliness of vehicles
• Follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines
• Advance/maintain ASE standards
• Request necessary parts
• Follow safeguard rules and regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High level of motivation and demonstrated ability to learn and succeed
• Working knowledge of techniques/procedures to diagnose vehicles
• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance inspection techniques
• Ability to perform skilled repair work on automotive equipment
• Ability to operate complex computerized diagnostic equipment
• Professional appearance
• Provide your own tools
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and clean driving record
• Pass pre-employment drug screen

• Toyota specific experience and/or Certification
