Part Time Substitute Educator - Puyallup School District

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students.

Pay Rate: $17.50–$19.50/hr (based on education and experience).

Schedule:

Monday–Friday Split Shift availability required, actual schedule may vary. Estimated times below:

• Before School Shift: 6:00 am–9:30 am (Mon‑6:30 am–10:30 am)
• After School Shift: 3:45 pm–6:00 pm

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and promote team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily
  
  Activities:
  
  prepare activities and curriculum that align with the program’s objectives; lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable.
• Leading by Example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment and model positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritise Safety and Joy: monitor the environment, address hazards, and follow safety protocols—including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

• Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
• Ability to lift 25 lb.
• A drive to inspire a love of learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

• Meet state‑specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR in person.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Food Handlers Card.
• Proof of MMR.
• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of high school diploma/GED.
• Background check with fingerprinting.
