Production Assembler - Thermatech / 2nd Shift

Assembles precut steel garage door sections using hand and power tools. May be required to perform functions of other jobs within the department.

• Obtain work orders and production schedule, assemble materials accordingly.
• Install rubberized seal onto edge of sections.
• Install end cap onto sections.
• Stack sections including running sections through banding machine.
• Perform quality assurance inspection.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• No previous experience required; some transferrable experience preferred.
• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Able to lift 50-75 lbs safely.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time (10-12 hour days).
• Good hand-eye coordination.

This position is in our manufacturing plant. It involves standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day and requires repetitive motion of arms, shoulders, wrists, and hands. The plant is not climate controlled and requires employees to dress appropriately. Noise levels can become high, so the department provides hearing protection.
