Job summary

Join carlisle companies incorporated as a production operator i, where you'll play a hands-on role in producing high-quality building materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll operate production machinery, support experienced operators, and ensure products meet carlisle's safety and quality standards. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with occasional overtime and no travel required.

Key responsibilities

* operate machinery within your assigned department to complete production work orders safely and efficiently

* review work orders and ensure proper materials are available to meet production needs

* monitor machine operations to maintain standard work and optimal performance

* perform safety-critical tasks including lockout/tagout, daily equipment inspections, and hazard-based functions

* stack, sort, bundle, and package materials according to departmental standards

* support operators ii and iii with packaging and end-of-line operations as needed

* record production and quality data to support continuous improvement efforts

* participate in housekeeping, 5s activities, and sqdc initiatives

* assist with quality checks to verify production parameters are met

* meet production goals while strictly adhering to all safety requirements

* perform other duties as assigned

Education & experience

Required:

* must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred:

* high school diploma or ged

* previous manufacturing or production experience

Working conditions

* fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, mechanical parts, pinch points, and varying temperatures

* elevated noise levels requiring hearing protection

* heavy, stationary machinery on the production floor

* shifts range from 8-10 hours, depending on schedule and business needs

* flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required

Personal protective equipment (ppe)

* eye and hearing protection (required at all times on the production floor)
