Position: Merchandiser - Union Position (Kitsap/Pierce County)

Description

Olympic Eagle is seeking an experienced merchandiser to assist in maintaining a leading market image through in‑store presentation and stocking. The role includes limited sales responsibilities, follows strict company guidelines, and requires work during weekends and early mornings.

SCHEDULE

Two consecutive weekdays off.

GENERAL SCOPE

This full‑time position involves presenting and stocking products, meeting deadlines, and delivering impeccable customer service. Employees who excel are eligible for advancement within Olympic Eagle. Availability for weekend and early morning shifts is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Drive a personal vehicle to retail locations and maintain Oregon Eagle and Anheuser Busch customer service, product displays, and cooler presentation standards.
  • Build and rebuild displays according to strict guidelines.
  • Restock coolers and displays, paying attention to freshness codes, dates, rotation, and facing.
  • Rotate and work back stock as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized van in line with Olympic Eagle’s Driver Policy.
  • Maintain Olympic Eagle’s image through demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Deliver dependable service to sales and operations departments.
  • Work as a flexible team player, providing assistance or coverage to other merchandisers, salespeople, and drivers as needed.
  • Operate hand trucks, six‑wheel carts, and pallet jacks to move product to and from stock rooms and displays.
  • Maintain daily/weekend call sheets and submit them to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Follow all safety procedures for lifting, reaching, and driving.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs regularly and frequently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance as specified below.
  • Beverage industry experience preferred but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Driving to customer locations in your own vehicle. Working conditions are subject to the specific customer location (e.g., grocery stores, convenience stores, etc.).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Stand, walk, reach, twist, bend, stoop, climb, squat, and kneel frequently. Extensive use of hands and arms to lift, rotate, and face product is required. Vision requirements include close, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment for display assessment.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Drive your own vehicle during work hours; reimbursed at IRS standard mileage rate, biweekly.
  • Vehicle must be an enclosed vehicle on four wheels.
  • Set up an account with Everlance to track miles.
  • Insurance requirements:
  • Bodily Injury per Person $100,000
  • Bodily Injury per Accident $300,000
  • Property Damage $100,000
  • Un/under‑insured motorist $50,000
  • Recommended: $1,000 comprehensive and collision deductibles
  • No requirement or verification for a company‑use endorsement.
BENEFITS

Olympic Eagle provides company‑sponsored Life and Long‑Term Disability Insurance to all full‑time employees. Employees may enroll themselves and their families in medical, dental, and vision insurance. A 401(k) is provided to non‑union employees, and union employees participate in a pension program. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and up to 40 hours of vacation after the first year of employment; this increases to 80 hours at two years.
