What will I do as a Store Manager in Training?
  • Greet customers with a smile, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise store personnel; evaluate performance; recommend promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions, including separations.
  • Monitor all financial transactions daily and identify reasons for cash or inventory shortages.
  • Manage store outs and minimize them by ensuring shelves, displays, and coolers are restocked as needed.
  • Ensure weekly product orders are prepared, submitted on time, and reconcile order deliveries against orders.
  • Manage food‑service and beverage programs to maximize sales and profits.
  • Ensure proper sanitation and food handling/prep/storage/disposal procedures are followed.
  • Ensure effective store operations, including cash control, inventory, bank drops, daily reports, work schedules, and food‑service quality.
  • Inspect building and equipment for safety; submit repair, maintenance, and safety requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness both inside and outside the store; keep the work area neat, clean, and organized.
  • Be knowledgeable of and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Be safety and security conscious; adhere to all safety guidelines in the Safety Manual; investigate any customer or team member incidents/accidents promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations (e.g., alcohol, tobacco, lottery sales).
  • Participate in monthly manager meetings and conduct effective store meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Open availability to support a 24/7 operation, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in retail or food service.
  • Willingness and passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly, can‑do attitude.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • A history of leading by example and doing the right thing, always.
  • A team player; we work together to get the job done.
  • The ability to multitask and think quickly on your feet.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Store Manager in Training positions are temporary; individuals will transition into full management or other roles within the Company.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; talking and listening.
  • Frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift or move up to 65 pounds.
  • Work under heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fumes/chemicals from gasoline and cleaning agents.
