Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Cleaning Operative to work at a government facility in Pwllheli. This is a temporary cover assignment offering part-time evening hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation while ensuring a safe and secure environment for building occupants.

Key Responsibilities
  • General cleaning of office and communal areas
  • Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
  • Dusting and wiping surfaces, desks and touch points
  • Cleaning kitchen and welfare facilities
  • Cleaning toilets, washrooms and replenishing consumables
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
  • Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly
  • Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety concerns
  • Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times
  • Using the site's telephone-based time and attendance system
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Comfortable working alone and taking responsibility for site security procedures
  • Ability to act as a key holder and operate alarm systems where required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual and professional approach
  • Right to work in the UK
Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful candidates will be required to:

  • Provide valid Right to Work documentation at induction
  • Participate in site-specific induction and security procedures
  • Use the mandatory telephone-based time and attendance system
  • Previous experience cleaning office or public sector environments
  • Knowledge of COSHH and safe use of cleaning chemicals
  • Experience of lone working and key holder responsibilities
