Required Specialist Qualifications – Must hold one of the following:
The Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon is the highest-ranking specialist in the neurosurgical unit (excluding the Department Chair), leading both clinical care and service strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Required Specialist Qualifications – Must hold one of the following:
- 🇺🇸 ABMS (USA)
- 🇨🇦 RCPS-C (Canada)
- 🇬🇧 GMC Specialist Registration with CCT/CCST
- 🇦🇺/🇳🇿 Fellowship of the Royal Colleges (Australia & New Zealand)
- 🇸🇪 Swedish Board
- 🇩🇪 Facharzt (Germany)
- 🇸🇦 Arab Board from GCC
- 🌍 Other recognized European qualifications may be accepted
- Minimum 1 year in a Senior Consultant role, OR
- At least 6 years in a Consultant post within a recognized government, semi-government, or university/teaching hospital
- Subspecialty experience in cerebral vascular and skull base surgery is mandatory
- Must hold a valid home-country license
- Must be eligible for Consultant-level licensing in the State of Qatar
The Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon is the highest-ranking specialist in the neurosurgical unit (excluding the Department Chair), leading both clinical care and service strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver complex open and endovascular neurosurgical interventions
- Perform skull base tumor resections, aneurysm clippings, AVM surgeries, and decompressions
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to consultants, registrars, and fellows
- Champion quality improvement, innovation, and research
- Collaborate with neuroradiology, neurology, ICU, and oncology services
- Lead departmental training, audits, and policy formulation
