Librarian for Lusail Public Library

The Lusail Public Library is seeking a qualified Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and organizing and promoting library events and programs.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
• Familiarity with library cataloging systems and reference resources
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
• Fluency in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
• Indian or Malayalee nationality preferred

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the library, including circulation, shelving, and maintenance of materials
• Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, including helping them locate resources and providing guidance on research strategies
• Plan and promote library events and programs to engage the community
• Maintain the library's online catalog and ensure accuracy of records
• Develop and maintain relationships with other libraries and organizations to expand resources available to patrons
• Train new staff members on library procedures and systems
• Stay up-to-date on current trends in librarianship through professional development opportunities

This position offers a salary of 900$ per month.
