Librarian - Lusail, Qatar

As a librarian in Lusail, Qatar, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's resources to provide efficient and effective services to the community. Your duties will include cataloging and classifying books, assisting patrons with research inquiries, and maintaining the library's collection.

• Catalog and classify new books and materials using standard library practices
• Maintain accurate records of the library's collection, including circulation statistics and inventory
• Assist patrons with research inquiries, providing guidance on how to use library resources effectively
• Develop and implement programs and services that meet the needs of the community
• Plan and host events to promote literacy and encourage community engagement with the library
• Train and supervise support staff in their daily tasks
• Stay updated on current trends in library science to ensure best practices are being followed

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a librarian in a similar setting
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others effectively

• Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of digital information management systems is an asset

$1400 per month (tax-free) plus benefits including free visa and ticket.

This is a contract position suitable for men who are Pakistani nationals. English fluency is required for this role.
