Petroleum Engineer

We are currently hiring a Petroleum Engineer for our company located in Lusail. As a Petroleum Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and designing the extraction methods for oil and gas reserves. Your main goal will be to optimize production and maximize profitability while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

• Conduct research and analyze data to determine the most efficient methods for extracting oil and gas reserves
• Design drilling plans and techniques, including well locations, depths, and equipment used
• Monitor drilling operations to ensure they are carried out safely and efficiently
• Develop plans for secondary recovery methods such as water flooding or gas injection
• Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other professionals to assess well performance and make necessary adjustments
• Evaluate well production rates and implement strategies to increase productivity
• Identify potential risks or issues related to drilling operations and develop contingency plans
• Monitor costs related to drilling operations and propose cost-saving measures when possible
• Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and regulations related to petroleum engineering

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in petroleum engineering or a similar role
• Proficiency in using industry-specific software such as Petrel or Eclipse for reservoir simulation
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to oil drilling operations
• Willingness to work in remote locations with long hours if required
