Vertical Marketing Manager – Marketplace
Full-Time
The Vertical Marketing Manager – Marketplace is the driving force behind Snoonu's marketplace growth. This role owns awareness, acquisition, and conversion across the Marketplace vertical — connecting customers with the widest range of products and merchants on the platform. You will work hand-in-hand with Commercial teams to unlock merchant and category opportunities, experiment with new channels, and set the benchmark for marketplace marketing excellence in Qatar.
VerticalOwnership & Strategy
- Own the end-to-end marketing strategy for the Marketplace vertical, aligned with company OKRs and the Snoonu brand
- Define the Marketplace value proposition for customers and merchants, and translate it into compelling campaigns across the funnel
- Set and track vertical KPIs — GMV, new buyer acquisition, conversion rate, average order value, category penetration, and retention
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and best practices in marketplace and e-commerce marketing regionally and globally
- Lead always-on and seasonal brand campaigns that grow awareness of Snoonu's Marketplace offering among target audiences in Qatar
- Develop campaign briefs, creative direction, and messaging frameworks that clearly differentiate the Marketplace from competitors
- Manage multi-channel campaign execution across paid social, search, display, OOH, influencer, and in-app placements
- Build a content and communications calendar that keeps the Marketplace top-of-mind for both existing and prospective customers
- Drive conversion across the full customer journey — from first visit to first purchase to repeat buyer
- Develop and optimise promotional mechanics (flash sales, category deals, free delivery thresholds, loyalty incentives) that improve conversion without eroding margin
- Work closely with the Product and CRM teams to improve in-app merchandising, homepage placements, push notifications, and email flows for the Marketplace
- Own A/B testing and experimentation roadmaps for key conversion touchpoints, turning learnings into scalable playbooks
- Proactively identify and pilot new marketing channels relevant to marketplace audiences — including affiliate, community platforms, social commerce, and emerging digital formats
- Evaluate channel performance rigorously, scaling what works and sun setting what doesn't, with clear data-backed rationale
- Build partnerships with media owners, publishers, and platforms to negotiate innovative placements and first‑mover opportunities for Snoonu's Marketplace
- Champion best practices in marketplace marketing internally, running regular knowledge shares and setting the bar for the wider team
- Monitor and report on vertical performance weekly and monthly, delivering clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Leverage customer data, purchase behaviour, and search trends to identify demand signals and inform campaign and category prioritisation
- Maintain a living library of marketplace marketing best practices, case studies, and competitive intelligence to guide future planning
- Manage the Marketplace marketing budget with rigor, optimising allocation across channels
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum 4–6 years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in marketplace, e-commerce, or retail platform environments
- Proven track record of running awareness and conversion campaigns that drove measurable GMV or revenue growth
- Strong command of performance marketing channels — paid social, search (Google/Meta), programmatic, CRM, and push — with hands‑on experience managing budgets and optimising for conversion
- Experience exploring and scaling new marketing channels, with a bias for testing, learning, and iterating quickly
- Excellent analytical skills; comfortable working with dashboards, funnel data, and cohort analysis to make decisions
- Experience collaborating with Commercial or Category teams to co‑create promotional strategies and merchant joint plans
- Strong awareness of marketplace and e-commerce marketing trends, regionally and globally
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills across Marketing, Commercial, and Product
- Fluency in English;
Arabic is a plus given the Qatar market context
