The Head of Performance is responsible for leading the performance marketing function across user acquisition and digital marketing, setting the commercial strategy that converts marketing spend into customer acquisition and revenue at target efficiency. Accountable for blended performance outcomes across the paid media mix, organic growth channels, and the new-customer acquisition funnel through to first order.
What You’ll Get Your Hands On
- Develop and recommend the performance marketing strategy to the Director of Growth & Performance Marketing, translating business growth objectives into investment priorities and target-setting across the function.
- Recommend budget allocation across User Acquisition and Digital Marketing and manage total spend within the approved envelope;
Senior Managers manage day-to-day pacing and channel-level allocation within their teams. - Set blended CPO and CAC targets for the function and hold Senior Managers accountable to channel-level and cluster-level KPI delivery against those targets.
- Ensure the UA and Digital Marketing teams operate as a coordinated acquisition engine — identifying gaps, resolving channel overlap, and driving synergies between paid acquisition, paid awareness, and organic growth.
- Define the performance KPIs and reporting requirements for the function; work with Marketing Efficiency on the analytics infrastructure, attribution models, and martech tooling needed to support them.
- Evaluate and recommend new channel opportunities, market expansion strategies, and investment shifts based on commercial performance data and market trends.
- Partner with Finance on budget phasing reconciliation and with the Head of CRM on a clear acquisition-to-growth handoff definition, ensuring acquisition and retention are measured on clean, non-overlapping populations.
- Coordinate with the Head of Loyalty, Partnerships & Subscriptions on paid subscriber acquisition for S+, ensuring performance marketing supports subscription growth targets.
The Magic You Bring
- Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Performance Marketing, Digital Marketing, Growth Marketing, or Customer Acquisition, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role.
- Proven experience leading digital marketing campaigns at scale across multiple paid channels.
- Solid understanding of Google Ads, Meta Ads, Tik Tok Ads, Apple Search Ads, DSPs, and other digital advertising platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of marketing analytics, attribution models, conversion optimization, and campaign measurement.
- Experience managing significant marketing budgets and delivering measurable acquisition growth.
- Strong analytical, strategic, commercial, and financial acumen.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in a marketplace, delivery, or on-demand business model.
- Familiarity with mobile-first acquisition strategies and app growth.
- MBA or Master s degree in a relevant field.
- Regional experience in the GCC or Middle East market.
