Merchandiser, Retail

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement product merchandising strategies to drive sales and meet company goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers buyers and marketers to create cohesive product assortments
• Conduct market research to identify trends and customer preferences
• Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing quality and delivery timelines
• Create visually appealing displays that effectively showcase products
• Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking or discontinuing products as needed
• Analyze sales data to track performance of product categories and make recommendations for improvements
• Stay updated on industry trends competitor activities and consumer behavior

• Bachelors degree in Merchandising or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in merchandising or buying within the retail industry
• Strong knowledge of product development process from concept to launch
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers for best pricing and terms
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis purposes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
