Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Simulation Developer to join a team developing next-generation modeling in Quantico, VA
. This role is ideal for a software engineer with experience building simulation environments, game-based systems, or virtual training platforms who wants to contribute to high-impact national security programs.
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced modeling and simulation applications supporting defense missions.
- Build and integrate simulation capabilities within larger mission and system architectures.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and operational subject matter experts to improve simulation fidelity and performance.
- Develop new features, perform testing and validation, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Support interoperability, mission-focused testing efforts, technical documentation, and stakeholder coordination activities.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related technical discipline
- 3+ years of software development experience focused on modeling, simulation, gaming, or virtual environments
- Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, Java, or other programming languages
- Experience with simulation or game development platforms such as AFSIM, Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems and collaborative development practices
- Must hold an active TS/SCI US Government clearance
- Salary range: $150, (based on experience)
